Unfortunately for the Probe Team I didn’t have anything juicy to add to the news about jewelry of Imelda Marcos. I was asked how I came about taking the photos and about the gossip regarding socialites getting some of the bounty etc. but since I have no personal knowledge of these jewels since I photographed them in 1988.
It was fun to be back on camera. I left Mt. Shasta, California, after creating and producing a weekly TV show for MCTV-Channel 15in Northern California, then moved out of town right when it was getting good and fun finally!
Cheche Lazaro is one of the most respected broadcast journalists. It was a very invigorating experience to do the interview with her. I doubt they will ever use the footage because I really hadn’t much to contribute to the story of the jewelry of Imelda Marcos other than what I have posted on different pages on this site. Cheche was a very gracious interviewer and didn’t try to push much beyond what I knew.
